This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work across multiple school sites, providing direct therapy and collaborative support to ensure students achieve success both academically and personally. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, making this an excellent chance to be a resource for students during a pivotal academic period.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of OT interventions for children and adolescents
- Comfortable managing a caseload at multiple school sites
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify strengths and needs impacting learning and participation
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students’ IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated student support
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Provide guidance and resources to school staff and families
- Adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of students across various school environments
