Medical Device Packaging Technician – 1st Shift
Location: San Diego, CA 92130
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

A-Line Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Operations Specialist to support inspection, labeling, and packaging operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. This is a first-shift opportunity offering consistent weekday hours with overtime available as needed.

Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for manually inspecting, labeling, and packaging clinical and commercial products to meet customer and internal demand. You will ensure all finished goods meet established procedures and quality specifications while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting overall manufacturing activities.

Packaging Operations Specialist Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished clinical and commercial products
• Ensure products are packaged in accordance with procedures and quality specifications
• Inspect in-process components and remove defective products and packaging materials
• Maintain accurate documentation, including device history records and inventory counts
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to support completion of batch records
• Assist with inventory counting activities as required
• Participate in safety audits and daily safety discussions
• Perform routine cleaning of packaging stations and processing equipment
• Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE), gowning, and contamination control requirements
• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with established procedures

Packaging Operations Specialist Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of industry or manufacturing or packaging experience
• Experienced working in a GMP environment
• Ability to read and understand documentation and follow written procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Good documentation practices
• Basic math skills required
• Comfortable using computers and general business software
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and maintain a flexible schedule, including static or rotating shifts as needed
