Accounting Analyst

Brown & Brown is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our growing team! How You Will Contribute Enter, balance, and post all daily cash, ACH, check, and credit card deposits. Generate and send out customer requests for information including follow‑up requests. Review and process customer files. Generate customer invoices. Generate age analysis; review AR aging to ensure compliance. Follow up with customers regarding open balances via account statements and payment reminders. Perform new customer credit checks and establish customer payment terms. Support month‑end and year‑end close process. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. Skills & Experience to be Successful BS degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred). 2+ years corporate accounting experience in a relevant industry. Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures. In‑depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Aware of business trends. Familiarity with financial accounting statements. Experience with general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process. Hands‑on experience with accounting software packages such as QuickBooks Advanced. MS Excel skills including SUMIF and VLOOKUP. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
