Work Environment

This onsite position is based within a hospital setting, facilitating interactions with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers. You will thrive in a dynamic environment that emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and evidence-based practices. Your normal work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet impactful workweek.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing tailored treatment programs based on individual patient assessments.
• Conduct hands-on therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
• Educate and instruct patients and their families on exercise regimens and activities that promote rehabilitation and well-being.
• Monitor and meticulously document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary while ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic patient care.
• Implement trigger point therapy techniques to address specific areas of tension and improve overall functional outcomes.
• Support various occupational health initiatives aimed at promoting workplace wellness within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve caring for a wide range of patients, from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals working to regain mobility after surgery or illness. You will engage with patients across various demographics, ensuring that every session prioritizes empathy, understanding, and respect for their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• An active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a PTA, demonstrating a practical understanding of therapeutic techniques and patient care.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, allowing for effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team.
• Proficient in various manual therapy techniques, with the ability to adapt approaches based on patient feedback and conditions.
• A compassionate approach to patient care, coupled with strong interpersonal skills that foster patient trust and motivation.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with diverse rehabilitation modalities, including but not limited to aquatic therapy, strength training, and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and reporting of patient care.
• A proactive attitude towards continuing education and professional development, with an enthusiasm for staying updated on industry trends.

Compensation and Benefits

We value our staff and offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
