Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our team at Henry Ford St. John in Detroit, MI.Work Schedule: Part time working 6:30AM-3:00PM. Will work 2-3 rotating days/week and every other weekendJob Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:6 months or more of experience in a medical or production environmentAdditional Job Standards:Comfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40lbs.Able to pass a standardized color blindness testAt Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
