About the Position

This full-time position will have the responsibility of assisting the Superintendent in providing exceptional golf courses for Grey Oaks’ Members and guests.

As with all positions, the position will continually exemplify and promote the core values, mission, and culture of the Grey Oaks Country Club team.

This position reports to the Superintendent of Golf.

Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. You are a professional with a keen interest and experience in golf course maintenance and management. You have the ability to effectively and comfortably lead others. Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in the long- and short-term planning related to golf course renovations, care & maintenance
• Lead the team by delegating daily assignments; provide guidance and assistance and ensure work is completed as expected and in a timely manner
• Lead projects related to course renovations or repairs
• Assist in the training of new and existing staff in golf course set-up and maintenance, equipment operations, safety procedures and the expectations of the Club
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend corrective action for agronomic problem areas
• Assist in the daily set-up and maintenance of the golf course, including routine golf course maintenance, chemical applications, and equipment operations
• Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly and ensures that we provide a safe workplace for our team.
• All other duties as assigned by management

Education/Experience

• 3- 5+ years’ experience in golf course maintenance, preferably with experience leading teams in that arena
• Have an active Pesticide Applicator License for the state of Florida, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
• An Associates or bachelor’s degree strongly desired
• A certificate in Turf Management or related experience strongly desired.
