Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Compound and prepare IV medications while adhering to all pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
• Accurately enter prescription and billing information into the pharmacy system to support reimbursement and claims processing.
• Prepackage medications in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
• Assist pharmacists with the final verification process by preparing medications for review and packaging approved prescriptions for dispensing.
• Coordinate the accurate and timely delivery of medications to patients and healthcare facilities.
• Support inventory management by receiving shipments, rotating stock, monitoring lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy by ensuring workstations and equipment are properly cleaned, calibrated, and maintained.
• Follow quality assurance procedures and all regulatory requirements to ensure medication safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, billing staff, pharmacy technicians, and supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.
• Operate and learn automated dispensing systems and pharmacy technology to improve workflow and accuracy.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
