Division Chief, Interventional Radiology (MD) – College of Medicine - Phoenix The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix is seeking an outstanding academic physician to serve as chief of the division of interventional radiology in the Department of Radiology. The chief will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the clinical, education, research, and programmatic missions of the division, lead a team of interventional radiologists and support staff, and expand the program. Key goals include recruiting faculty, building clinical programs, evolving clinical investigation, and developing a GME training program in partnership with Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. Responsibilities Faculty development, recruitment and retention of faculty and staff. Development and oversight of educational and training programs, including a residency program. Growth of research and novel clinical programs. Leadership in program building and expanding clinical services. Minimum Qualifications MD or DO (or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Eligible for a University of Arizona academic appointment at the associate professor level or higher. Board certified in Interventional Radiology. Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Arizona. Greater than 6 years of progressively complex administrative experience in an academic medical center setting. Demonstrated national distinction in teaching, clinical care, and research discovery. Commitment to patient care, team‑based philosophy, and collaboration across disciplines. Track record of recruitment and development of faculty, trainees, and students. Evidence of program building success. Eligibility for medical staff membership at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. Preferred Qualifications Additional health professional degree (e.g., PhD, MPH, MS). Experience in developing and implementing new academic programs and services. Ability to engage private practice communities for program development and patient care. Demonstrated leadership in Interventional Radiology. Clinical research funding and high‑impact publications in leading journals. National distinction through service on NIH study sections and/or leadership in professional societies (e.g., SIR).
