Work Environment

The selected Physical Therapist will work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in South Boston, Virginia, in a collaborative environment where you will interact closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assess individual needs, and develop personalized treatment goals and plans based on physician directives.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, regularly monitor progress, and make necessary modifications to treatment protocols to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Supervise and collaborate with physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, providing guidance and feedback to enhance patient care.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans and contribute to patient assessments.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of students and new staff within the department, promoting a culture of learning and development.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute insights for improving therapy services and overall patient outcomes.
