Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and for providing engineering support to the production floor.What you will be doing:As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, providing engineering support to the production floor, and designing tooling and equipment. You will utilize your analysis and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment to meet production rate requirements.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.Documenting the production process to ensure design requirements are met.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and systems.Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications.Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo / Solid Works.Transitioning developing programs to production with increasing rates.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplineAbility to interpret complex engineering drawings and detailed specificationsAbility to create statement of work for tooling based on requirementsAbility to work independently with limited oversightAbility to create and maintain work instructionsDemonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail to create high-quality work productsKnowledgeable of machine and tool mechanical designFamiliar with common hand toolsDemonstrated ability to identify and solve complex issuesAbility to work with other functional groups to drive productionKnowledgeable of general manufacturing and integration processesExperience supporting multiple customers and fluctuating priorities in a collaborative and flexible environmentDesired SkillsBasic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME/ANSI Y14.5)Proficient with MS Office software suiteProficiency or experience with AutoCAD, PTC Creo, or Solid Works 3D CAD softwareKnowledgeable of engineering materialsKnowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in a manufacturing environmentKnowledgeable of tool design, fabrication, and implementationExperience setting up a production linePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
