Accounting Specialist

Location: Scottsdale, AZ, US 85260 Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid Job Category: Finance Career Level: Graduate / Entry Level Position Summary As an Accounting Specialist in the aircraft management operation of Jet Aviation, you will primarily be responsible for supporting our managed aircraft clients. This hybrid role allows for flexibility, with at least four days a week in our Scottsdale, AZ location. The posted hourly ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range will be as follows: $20-$24 an hour. Minimum Requirements High school diploma 2-4 years of accounting experience Able to meet deadlines and follow up on assigned tasks Ability to use Excel to create and maintain various schedules/reports Must have experience in Microsoft Office and Word to write emails and professional letters Ability to use Outlook is required Ability to enter data accurately Must be able to read and communicate in English Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages Main Responsibilities Track, code, redact, prepare, and collate invoices and billing packages Resolve and document Concur errors and receipts for monthly statements Reconcile trip sheet details and verify trip tracking Run reports and provide paperwork (i.e., MOT/VAT) as needed Provide billing package data to clients via client portal Support accounting activities and client accounting requests as needed Conduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projects Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested Other duties may be assigned as needed Desired Characteristics Accounting relevant education preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Autonomous, well organized, detail oriented, and accurate Able to work under pressure and multitask ensuring the results are of highest quality and accuracy Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives Familiar with aviation terminologies and flight system Experience overseeing preparation of financial reports Intuitive and thinks outside-of-the-box to provide feedback and suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies Has a pleasant, friendly, and helpful manner to deliver the best experience to customers and colleagues Benefits/Perks Financial Perks: Base hourly pay + overtime paid over 40 hours in one week; holiday pay + paid time off (including 3 floating holidays); 401(k) benefits $1 for $1 match up to 6%; General Dynamics Employee Discounts.
