Accounts Payable Specialist

Inframark CMS Tampa - Pan Am, 2005 Pam Am Circle, Tampa, Florida, United States of America Job Description Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for compiling payroll data to maintain payroll and tax records. Primary Responsibilities Perform payroll related functions, including managing clients payroll data such as hours worked, insurance deductions, and general deductions. Prepare computer input forms, enter data into payroll system, compute wages and deductions, and post to payroll records. Review computed wages, correct errors for payroll accuracy, and update master payroll records for exemptions, insurance coverage, car allowance, and loan payments. Record employee transfers, leave pay, and severance payments to terminated employees. Prepare and issue paychecks, upload ACH files to the bank for manager’s approval, and make online EFT payments. Review and reconcile insurance invoices, confirm bank balances, and prepare pension file payments for manager’s review. Monitor incoming new W‑4 forms and other paperwork to ensure compliance with IRS guidelines. Escalate issues to payroll manager/supervisor as needed and complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience: AA degree in Accounting or related field and 2-4 years of previous payroll experience. Technical: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet, knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, basic understanding of IRS pay guidelines. Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally, contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience, maintains composure in challenging situations, collaborates with others, asks for constructive feedback. Problem Solving & Quality: Pays attention to detail, identifies & solves problems, escalates issues accordingly, checks work for quality, shares suggestions to improve quality & productivity. Physical Demands The work environment is characteristic of an office environment: sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities.
