Saber Power Services, LLC, (SPS) headquartered in Houston, TX is a nationally recognized full service, EPC, specialty engineering, procurement, construction and testing and commissioning company specializing in complex medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure in North America.



JOB SUMMARY:


The Procurement Intern supports the daily operations of the Procurement Department by assisting with administrative and operational tasks throughout the procurement process. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in supply chain and procurement, with opportunities to develop organizational, communication, and analytical skills in a fast-paced professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation and entry of purchase orders for materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment
• Help maintain purchase order logs and project tracking spreadsheets
• Support expediting efforts to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Communicate with vendors to follow up on quotes, delivery timelines, and required documentation (e.g., Proof of Delivery)
• Respond to basic procurement-related inquiries via phone and email, escalating issues as needed
• Help relay procurement updates and information to internal departments accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform general administrative tasks and provide support for special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Previous internship or office experience in a professional setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement systems or ERP software (a plus but not required)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
