Noon Supervisor

JOB TITLE: Lunchroom/Noon Supervisor – Elementary DEPARTMENT: Support Staff REPORTS TO: Building Principal LOCATION: Jeffers Pond Elementary POSITION TYPE: Non-Certified Student Support Personnel / Lunchroom / Noon Supervisor START DATE: September 10, 2026 RATE OF PAY: $18.18 – $20.66 per hour (Category A) (2025-26 rates) Terms of employment per the Minnesota School Employees Association Non-Certified Student Support Personnel (MSEA) collective bargaining agreement. SUMMARY To supervise and support students during lunch periods by monitoring behavior, enforcing safety rules, assisting with conflict resolution, and ensuring a safe, orderly, and positive lunchroom and outdoor environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervise and monitor students during lunch periods and related transitions to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment. Monitor student behavior and assist students in resolving conflicts in the lunchroom and designated outdoor areas. Enforce school rules, expectations, and all safety procedures during lunch and recess periods. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly lunchroom by supporting appropriate student conduct and routines. Monitor student movement and time outside to ensure classes return to instructional areas on time. Assist students who are injured or ill during lunch or recess and seek additional help as needed. Ensure students are appropriately dressed for weather conditions before outdoor activities. Report safety concerns, accidents, or unusual situations to the building principal or designated supervisor. Support the building principal in establishing and reinforcing appropriate lunchroom and playground expectations. Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with district policies and procedures. Promote positive interactions, teamwork, and respectful communication with students, staff, and administrators. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience High School Diploma/GED At least 18 years of age. Previous experience working with school‑aged children preferred. Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations N/A Required Knowledge District policies and procedures. Confidentiality requirements related to students and families. Basic understanding of emergency response and incident reporting protocols. Required Skills Ability to effectively supervise groups of students in structured and unstructured settings. Clear and professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, and students. Demonstrate reliability and accountability when responding to daily tasks and unexpected circumstances. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Mobility and stamina to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings; ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds; visual ability to monitor students and read written materials; hearing and verbal communication skills to interact effectively in indoor and outdoor environments; and mental alertness to supervise students, follow procedures, and respond appropriately to changing situations. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in multiple settings including but not limited to classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and multipurpose rooms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
