Temporary Administrative Support

This position is responsible for providing temporary, administrative support to the Principal and the school office on an as-needed basis to assure smooth and efficient operation of the office during the absence of the regular building secretary.

Provides support for the following duties:

• Answers main telephone lines, provides basic information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate staff.
• Greets visitors, students, and staff entering the office, addresses immediate needs, and directs them to appropriate locations.
• Operates basic office equipment such as multi-line phones, copiers, and fax machines as needed.
• Receives incoming mail, packages, and routine deliveries, leaving them for regular staff processing.
• Takes initial attendance inquiries or late-arrival sign-ins from arriving students.
• Tends to sick or injured students sent to the main office and logs basic illness or injury visits according to school protocol.
• Assists teachers or administration with basic copying or printing requests as time allows.
• Distributes daily announcements or routine notices as directed by the principal.
• Performs essential, immediate tasks or other basic administrative support duties as assigned by the building principal.
