We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This role contributes across payables, receivables, payroll support, reconciliations, and general ledger activities while helping ensure accurate records and timely reporting. The ideal candidate brings sound accounting knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounts payable cycle by entering invoices, verifying supporting details, securing approvals, and coordinating timely payments.
• Support accounts receivable activities through invoice generation, follow-up on outstanding balances, and communication with customer accounts.
• Assist with payroll administration, including processing support, compliance checks, and maintenance of payroll records.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile ledger accounts, and contribute to efficient month-end closing activities.
• Help compile monthly financial statements and internal reports used for operational and management review.
• Track cash activity, review account balances, and assist with scheduling outgoing payments and other disbursements.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial reporting and identify discrepancies promptly.
• Organize accounting documentation and provide support for budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax-related tasks, and other compliance requirements.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance-focused position.
• Solid understanding of core accounting concepts, including journal entries, general ledger activity, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Experience assisting with payroll processing; exposure to multi-state or multi-jurisdiction payroll is beneficial.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills such as formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail while maintaining organized financial records.
• Strong time management and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and meet competing deadlines.
