About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 36 hours per week, 3:1 patient ratio. Weekend shifts assigned according to unit staffing needs. Float pool assignment may require floating to affiliated hospital locations (approximately 5-6 minute walk between facilities).

• 36-hour orientation provided to ensure smooth transition
• First-time travelers considered (minimum 1 year experience required; manager review for candidates with only 1 year)
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available during contract

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Step-down nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in IV start and telemetry monitoring
• Skills in arterial line management, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, central/PICC line care, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, and wound care
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Ability to complete Ohio state fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
