Associate Director, Research Procurement and Contracts Lead

Revolution Medicines seeks an Associate Director to lead research procurement and contracting activities, serving as a liaison between research teams and administrative functions. The role involves managing external research agreements, improving vendor engagement, and overseeing purchasing support resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead research contracting portfolio including academic collaborations, CRO agreements, and external research partnerships
• Connect research teams with procurement, legal, and finance functions to coordinate purchasing activities
• Develop and implement vendor strategy initiatives and process improvements aligned with business systems
• Define clear roles and responsibilities for external provider engagements with scientific oversight
• Manage research purchasing support resources, set priorities, and establish consistent workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years procurement or contract management experience in pharmaceutical research
• Strong cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, Smartsheets, and contract management software (Omnea, IronClad, Coupa)
• Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
• Scientific background in biology, biochemistry, or chemistry (preferred)
