Service Advisor – Five Star Mitsubishi

Location: Altoona, PA
Reports To: Service Manager

Position Summary:

Five Star Mitsubishi is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented  Service Advisor to join our growing team. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department, ensuring that all maintenance and repair needs are met with exceptional care. This role is crucial to delivering the Five Star service experience, where customer satisfaction is our top priority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival in the service department.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle issues and service needs.
• Prepare detailed service orders and communicate repair recommendations and cost estimates to customers.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance work with technicians to ensure timely and quality service.
• Keep customers informed of vehicle status, repair timelines, and any additional service recommendations.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and review final charges with customers at vehicle pickup.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers by providing outstanding service, answering any questions, and addressing concerns.
• Promote dealership service offerings, including preventive maintenance and repair packages.
• Stay updated on the latest Mitsubishi service guidelines, warranty policies, and recall information.
• Ensure the service department meets daily, weekly, and monthly sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role (automotive industry experience preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage service orders, follow-ups, and customer communication.
• Familiarity with automotive maintenance and repair processes, as well as dealership service software systems.
• High level of professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
• Valid driver’s license.
