This role manages R&D projects, supervises formulation chemists, and drives innovation to ensure product efficacy, stability, and regulatory compliance. Based in Hanover, PA, the position collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-performance solutions that support sustainable agriculture.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee formulation development for fertilizers, biostimulants, adjuvants, and crop inputs.Manage scale-up processes from lab to production, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.Lead strategic formulation projects and mentor junior scientists.Evaluate raw materials and emerging technologies for product improvement.Ensure compliance with agricultural and chemical regulations.Collaborate with agronomy, regulatory, and production teams to meet business objectives.Maintain accurate documentation and drive continuous improvement in formulation practices.Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required SkillsAdvanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry, Agricultural Science, or related field; or Bachelor’s with 8+ years of formulation experience.Proven expertise in agricultural product formulation and scale-up processes.Strong leadership and project management skills.Proficiency in analytical techniques (HPLC, spectroscopy, rheometry).Knowledge of surfactants, emulsifiers, and regulatory frameworks (EPA, REACH, EU Fertilizer Regulation).Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration abilities.Key CompetenciesSummaryTotal RewardsJ.M.
