Under general direction of the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD), the Network Services Supervisor provides technical support, consulting, and is fluent in activities related to voice, data, and video communications within the California State Lottery. The Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs staff activities supporting the Lottery’s networking infrastructure, which includes Cloud, LAN, and WAN systems. The Supervisor sets IT processes and standards, formulates long‑range vision, aligns and reviews implementations, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and objectives. This position requires a current Information Technology Supervisor II exam. Candidates who need to take the exam or whose score has expired should begin the eligibility process. The position is headquartered in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as required. Travel expense to and from the headquarters is the employee’s responsibility. Telework eligibility requires residence in California per California Government Code Section 14200. Experience configuring network equipment per policies and best practices. Experience architecting and managing statewide networks, cloud services, and related connections. Experience developing network documentation including topologies, processes, and procedures. Knowledge of IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL, Incident Management, Change Enablement). Experience administering wireless, firewall, and managed switch solutions. Experience leading network or infrastructure projects and developing high‑performing teams.
