As a nationally recognized, award-winning multidisciplinary firm, we deliver engineering and architectural design services, construction management, surveying, right-of-way acquisition, and materials testing across the Midwest.Join a team where innovation meets collaboration, and your expertise drives meaningful impact.DLZ Corporation currently has a Geotechnical Engineer opportunity in Columbus, OH.Duties & Responsibilities:Perform geotechnical engineering, analyses, and recommendations for bridges, retaining walls, building/structures, dams and levees.Perform and direct others on geotechnical inspections reports, site reconnaissance, soil borings, and field investigations.Assist senior level engineers with the preparation of geotechnical analyses and recommendations for bridges, retaining walls, buildings/structures, dams, and levees.Interact with clients on an as-needed basis.Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the company Health and Safety Plan.Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering or related disciplineMasters of Science in Geotechnical Engineering preferred5 or more years relevant experienceEngineer in Training (EIT) required, Professional Engineer (PE) Registration preferredProficient with Microstation and/or AutoCAD preferred.Experience with ODOT projects and/or Corps of Engineer's highly desired.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Power PointAvailable for occasional short-term travel.Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.Investing in Your Future:We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and career growth:Health, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible spending accounts & health savings account401(k) options (Traditional and Roth)Paid parental leaveLife & AD&D insuranceShort- and long-term disabilityWellness program with reimbursement benefitsOur Commitment to Inclusion:At DLZ, diversity isn't just a policy—it's a priority.
