What you will do Manage the full purchasing process: from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to placing orders and tracking deliveries. Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email with empathy, accuracy and timeliness. Resolve order issues, returns, and complaints in a way that turns challenges into positive experiences. Analyze demand forecasts and translate them into accurate purchase orders and production plans. Request quotes for pricing, lead time, and terms, from our suppliers, to secure the best value without compromising quality. Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues quickly and effectively. Maintain optimal inventory levels. Avoiding both shortages and excess stock, using our ERP/MRP systems. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality personnel to align material availability with business needs and project timelines. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain efficiency. Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the overall business objectives and improve operational efficiency. Streamline operations, enhance distribution strategies, and reduce overall supply chain costs. Ensure procurement activities adhere to organization policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. What you will bring Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (ERP/MRP systems, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Excellent customer service and supplier management skills; showing the ability to listen, empathize, and resolve issues effectively. Ability to interpret technical drawings, bills of materials, and production schedules. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail. Clear communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics. Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
