This position involves leading a self-contained ESE classroom at an elementary school, with students exhibiting diverse learning needs and exceptionalities. You’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact, working consistently at one campus for the duration of the school year.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Valid Florida ESE (Exceptional Student Education) certification
• Florida K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification (both required)
• Demonstrated experience working in a self-contained classroom environment
• Ability to adapt instruction to varied levels of student ability and need
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Understanding of time-sensitive credentialing processes, including fingerprinting via the AHCA Clearinghouse
• Willingness to participate in virtual prescreen interviews and internal eligibility checks

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained ESE classroom at one assigned school location (primarily elementary)
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians
• Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development as required
• Support student growth, engagement, and social-emotional well-being

This assignment spans from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, following the school year calendar and averages 35 hours per week (7 hours per day). You will become an integral member of a collaborative educational team, providing vital support to students who benefit from specialized instruction.
