Vital Strength PT in Newport News, Virginia, is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. Work Environment

You will work exclusively on-site in our modern rehabilitation center located in Newport News, VA. The center is designed to create an inviting atmosphere for recovery, featuring private treatment rooms, specialized rehabilitation equipment, and accessible spaces conducive to therapy. Our team currently consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to provide tailored, one-on-one care to our patients. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a caseload of 2 to 3 patients per hour, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, individualized therapy.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and education on posture and body mechanics.
• Encourage and guide patients as they work to enhance their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, analyzing outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.
• Record all patient interactions and treatments using EMR software, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care that addresses all aspects of the patient's health.
• Stay informed on best practices and current trends in physical therapy to enhance your skill set and treatment approaches.

Qualifications

• DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted state Physical Therapist License.
• No disciplinary actions on record associated with your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and skilled application of therapeutic exercises.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ideally WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• A background working in a sports medicine environment or with athletes would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and coworkers.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
