Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist Location: UWG Recruiting Location Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 298573 Job Summary The Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in fostering a positive, productive, and compliant workplace environment. This position is responsible for providing guidance and support to employees and managers on a wide range of workplace matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance concerns, investigations, and organizational culture initiatives. The Employee Relations Specialist serves as a trusted advisor who helps ensure fair treatment, consistent application of company policies, and alignment with legal and regulatory requirements. The role conducts thorough and impartial workplace investigations, recommends solutions to complex employee issues, and partners with HR leadership to develop strategies that strengthen employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. This position also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying trends, recommending policy updates, and helping develop training that supports a respectful and inclusive work environment. Responsibilities Manage Employee Relations: Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring a positive workplace environment. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Mediate conflicts between employees and management, conduct thorough investigations into complaints and recommend appropriate solutions. Develop and facilitate training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, and manager resources. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze employee data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee engagement and retention. Maintain accurate records of employee issues and resolutions, ensuring all supporting documentation is attached. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree 2-4 years of proven experience in an Employee Relations role. Direct experience with workplace investigations and applying corrective actions, as required by institutional policy. Knowledge and practice of Conflict Resolution. Preferred Qualifications Educational Qualifications: Master's Degree Experience: Higher Education experience preferred. Proposed Salary $57,056 - $70,000 annually. Paid on a monthly basis. Abilities Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to solve problems while maintaining confidentiality and relationship building. Excel in communication (verbal and written). Polished professionalism and displays sound judgment.
