PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to hire a skilled Maintenance Mechanic who will play a critical role in keeping production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. Position Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanic , you will support daily manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers the potential for long-term employment with a respected organization that values safety, quality, and technical expertise.

Location: Wallingford, CT
Schedule: First Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $35.00 – $38.00/hour
Work Environment: On-site, in-person role (No remote work available)

What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy manufacturing equipment.

• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and improve reliability.

• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs efficiently.

• Inspect machinery, components, and systems to ensure safe and proper operation.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment to complete repairs.

• Support production teams by responding to equipment issues and maintenance needs.

• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company guidelines.

• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a heavy manufacturing environment .

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks.

• Must be able to work first shift, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM .

• Must be ITAR compliant (U.S. Person requirement) .

• Ability to successfully complete:

  • Background check screening (10-year review)

  • Hair follicle THC screening (9-month lookback)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, production equipment, or manufacturing systems.

• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of industrial tools and equipment.

• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
