Line Cook - A Take-Away Restaurant

We are looking for a reliable Line Cook to join our busy, pure vegetarian Indian take-away restaurant. No prior experience with Indian food is required — we will train the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor order tickets carefully and prepare orders in the correct sequence .
• Assemble, Fry and heat food using the appropriate cooking equipment.
• Cut and wash vegetables and perform basic prep work as needed.
• Prepare, garnish, and package food according to the order.
• Work efficiently on multiple orders during busy periods.
• Keep the cooking and preparation areas clean and organized.
• Follow recipes, food preparation procedures, and instructions.
• Work as part of a team and be willing to learn different kitchen responsibilities.

Requirements

• No previous Indian food experience required; training will be provided .
• Must be willing to learn and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene and clean work practices.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, temperature, and sanitation procedures.
• Food Handler Certificate required or must be obtained as required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular kitchen work.
  

Schedule & Pay

• Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM–9:00 PM
• 1-hour unpaid break
• Overtime opportunities available based on business needs and applicable labor laws.
• Lunch provided.
