Procurement & Logistics SpecialistThe Procurement & Logistics Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, inventory coordination, and transportation of materials and equipment to support IPS operations. This role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods while maintaining strong supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesProcure materials, equipment, and services to support operational needs while ensuring cost, quality, and delivery objectives are met.Obtain supplier quotes, maintain vendor relationships, and assist with pricing negotiations and vendor performance reviews.Create and maintain purchase orders, resolve purchasing discrepancies, and accurate procurement records.Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, track deliveries, and work with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely transportation of goods.Monitor inventory levels, support inventory accuracy, and assist with cycle counts and replenishment activities.Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and service teams to ensure materials are available to meet customer and project requirements.Maintain data and reporting within ERP and inventory management systems.Recommend opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsStrong understanding of procurement principles, inventory control, and logistics operations.Knowledge of supplier management and contract negotiation practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to build strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.Competencies:Teamwork: Collaboration, the ability to work effectively with others, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.Adaptability: Adjusting to changing situations and priorities, being flexible, and learning quickly.Integrity: Maintaining ethical standards, acting with honesty and respect, and being accountable.Initiative: Taking proactive steps, identifying opportunities, and going above and beyond expectations.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and the ability to convey information clearly.Education:Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.Experience in industrial services, manufacturing, power systems, rotating equipment, or related industries preferred.Experience using ERP systems and inventory management software.Physical Activities & Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.Close vision for reading documents and computer screensFrequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipmentAbility to speak and hear clearly with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to visit warehouses, shops, and operational work environments as needed.Working Conditions:Office, warehouse, and industrial service environment.Occasional travel to vendor locations, warehouses, customer sites, or IPS service centers may be required.
