Investment Banking Healthcare M&A Associate - San Francisco

Position Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Associate – Healthcare, San Francisco Responsibilities The M&A Associate will support the structuring and execution of a broad range of complex domestic and cross‑border transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, spin‑offs, joint ventures, asset swaps and defense assignments. The role involves advising a diverse group of innovative healthcare and life‑sciences clients, collaborating closely with both M&A and healthcare coverage teams to deliver high‑quality strategic advice and contribute meaningfully to transaction execution and client engagement. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in investment banking as an Analyst and/or Associate, or an MBA, with a proven track record of working on executed M&A transactions Strong financial statement analysis skills and expertise in valuation and financial modeling across transaction types Exceptional work ethic, high motivation, commitment, and strong written and verbal communication skills Client and interpersonal skills with sound commercial judgment and the ability to perform under pressure and manage tight deadlines Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA designation a plus. Relevant degrees include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related fields (or foreign equivalent) Benefits and Compensation Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Compensation is individualized and may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley‑sponsored benefit programs.
