Job Posting Environmental Scientist $4,418.00 - $9,321.00 per Month Final Filing Date 8/23/2026 Job Description and Duties Under close supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist (SES) (Supervisor) of the Environmental Review Unit A or B (Unit), in the Environmental Evaluation Branch (Branch), part of the Licensing Division (Division), within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Environmental Scientist (ES) will perform a broad range of scientific and professional duties involving environmental analysis, research, surveys, investigations, and studies for the Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for environmental evaluation of license applications, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance, and approval of cultivation plans for all types of commercial cannabis cultivation activities.
