Position Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber, licensed attorney to join our global team as the Legal Engineering Lead. Moving far beyond traditional corporate compliance, this multi-faceted leadership track sits at the absolute intersection of law and modern software architecture. Leveraging your direct experience inside law firms or enterprise legal divisions, you will act as the master translator bridging legal practice with engineering delivery. You will logically deconstruct complex legal workflows into functional software requirements, lead enterprise rollouts across global conglomerates, identify commercial upselling loops, and establish an international team of Legal Experts to digitize the legal sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Requirements Translation: Map and break down intricate contractual procedures, document formatting barriers, and citation rules into actionable functional data requirements for the product development team.
• Enterprise Customer Success: Lead the tactical deployment, onboarding, and platform adoption of BoostDraft within elite global legal departments, taking absolute accountability for quantitative client retention.
• Commercial Account Expansion: Drive revenue growth across active enterprise targets by discovering and closing post-sale cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Brand Evangelism & PR: Represent BoostDraft as a definitive industry thought leader, presenting compliance digitalization trends and legal engineering concepts at prominent global conferences.
• Team Scalability & Governance: Recruit, onboard, and manage an autonomous division of specialized Legal Experts while advising leadership on due diligence updates required for international corporate scaling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable professional history executing workflows inside a prominent law firm or global corporate legal department.
• Professional Legal Credentials: Holding an active, verified license to practice law in Japan or another major global legal jurisdiction.
• Bilingual Language Mechanics: Full business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken), with the explicit capacity to debate complex systemic strategies with overseas developer squads.
• Demonstrated passion for optimizing legal environments and solving archaic formatting bottlenecks through advanced technology integrations.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first working infrastructure flexibility open to qualified legal-tech professionals globally, with optional visa and relocation assistance provided for those wishing to move to Tokyo, Japan.
