Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support within a healthcare facility, performing tasks such as patient preparation, assisting providers, and managing documentation. This role requires fluency in English and Spanish, certification as a Medical Assistant, and BLS certification. The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care delivery. Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination and procedures. Assist healthcare providers during patient visits. Perform clinical tasks within scope, including vital signs and specimen collection. Manage patient records and documentation using electronic health record systems (Cerner). Support facility needs by floating to different departments as required. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Communicate effectively with patients and team members in both English and Spanish. Required Skills & Certifications:

Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking). Medical Assistant certification from one of the following: AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA, NCCT, NRCMA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Associate's Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting, or 5 years of MA experience. Minimum 2 years of relevant Medical Assistant experience preferred. Ability to work within 75 miles of the facility. Experience working with Cerner electronic health record system. Experience in a clinical setting with patient care and administrative duties. Special Considerations:

No call requirements. Floating to other departments within the facility is mandatory to meet operational needs. Strict Return to Office (RTO) policy: no RTO within the first 4-5 weeks; maximum 5 days off with no more than 2 consecutive; no RTO on weekends, holidays, or adjacent days. Limited parking available; public transit is recommended. Scheduling:

Work schedule consists of 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts. Shift times are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
