Administrative Intern II

HACLA

Position Summary This is a temporary assignment, not to exceed 1,000 hours. Applications are valid for one (1) year from submittal date; thereafter, applicants are encouraged to reapply. Under general direction of a departmental supervisor, the incumbent assists in the administration and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and programs. The role involves researching departmental issues, disseminating information, preparing documents and reports, and performing related professional and administrative duties. Responsibilities Conduct research on departmental concerns; gather and analyze data; prepare and update reports and correspondence. Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications, Requests for Proposals, and related materials. Help develop and implement departmental policies and procedures; interpret departmental rules and regulations. Coordinate liaison activities with other departments and agencies to gather and disseminate information. Develop and maintain departmental databases, records, and documentation; complete, type, copy, and file standardized documents. Minimum Requirements Current enrollment in a post‑secondary program, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field. One (1) year of experience providing research and analysis assistance, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special Requirements Must attach an official sealed copy of college transcripts with application. Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License.
