DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON) – Wilson Care, Chicago, IL

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to support to the residents and their families
• Supervise scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted service
• Recruit staff
• Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting
• Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
• Serve as the Infection Control Coordinator, reporting in all matters directly to the Administrator
• Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee
• Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator to ensure that all MDS forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Manager on duty weekend rotation

of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN), license from the State of Illinois
• Clinical and supervisory experience in a mental health facility required
• Previous hospital and/or long term care facility experience required
• Proven leadership and relationship building skills
