Enterprise/ Solution Architect (Java, Guidewire) - Insurance Domain
Location: Vancouver, BC - REMOTE Duration: 6 months
Lead enterprise-wide application portfolio assessment and rationalization initiatives. Analyze the current application landscape to identify redundancies, overlaps, and technical debt. Evaluate application business value, cost, and technical fit. Define retain, retire, replace, or modernize strategies. Drive application portfolio simplification aligned to business capabilities and customer journeys. Define and execute modernization strategies, including replatforming, refactoring legacy applications, API enablement of existing systems, migration to cloud-native architectures. Establish application lifecycle governance to ensure continuous portfolio optimization. Align rationalization outcomes with integration, data, and digital transformation initiatives.
Strong experience in Integration Architecture, API Strategy, and Microservices. Proven expertise in Java/J2EE ecosystems and enterprise platforms. Experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaiCliententer) implementations and integrations and hands-on experience with API management platforms and integration tools (ESB, MQ, event streaming). Expertise in TOGAF or similar EA frameworks. Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integration patterns. Experience with event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and distributed systems. Strong domain expertise in BFSI (Insurance, Lending, Payments, Financial Services). Experience with Guidewire Cloud migrations or modernization programs.
