Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and families as a School Social Worker in the Clarks Summit area. This full-time assignment runs ASAP through June 2027, making a lasting impact for the 2026-2027 school year. Three social workers are needed to cover a variety of caseloads: K-4, K-2, and K-12, primarily within elementary settings and autism support programs. Consistent weekday hours (35-37.5 per week) allow you to develop meaningful relationships and provide essential services to young learners.

What we’re seeking:

• Active, valid Social Worker credential/license in Pennsylvania
• Recent experience as a social worker, ideally within educational or school-based environments
• Understanding of K-4 and/or K-12 student developmental and behavioral needs
• Ability to work with diverse populations, including students receiving autism support
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking capabilities

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to assigned caseload of students
• Conduct needs assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with special education, guidance, and administrative teams to address behavioral, emotional, and social barriers to learning
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and case notes per district and legal requirements
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student planning
