Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, providing you with flexibility while still maintaining a strong connection with the team and clients. Our community health clinic supports a robust telehealth system, ensuring that you have the tools necessary to deliver effective therapy from the comfort of your own home. You'll work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the opportunity to adjust your schedule as needed to accommodate client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based tools and techniques.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that address the individual goals and challenges of each client, collaborating continuously with them throughout their therapeutic process.

• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques and maintaining a client-centered approach.

• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to coordinate integrated care for clients, ensuring that all aspects of their mental health are addressed.

• Educate and support clients’ families, encouraging their involvement in the treatment journey and fostering a collaborative environment.

• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines while maintaining accurate and confidential client records using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Horizons Counseling, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients may present with issues ranging from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and family dynamics, requiring a nuanced understanding of different therapeutic approaches. Your role will involve fostering a trusting environment where clients feel safe to express their thoughts and emotions.

Qualifications\n

• A valid professional license as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Illinois.

• A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or Psychology.
\n
• At least two years of direct experience in mental health counseling or therapy with a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate clients.

• Experience utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Play Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
