Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric physical therapy evaluations and treatments in both inpatient and outpatient settings; oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff when appropriate
- Assess patients, identify therapy diagnoses, formulate and implement treatment plans with goals, and adjust plans based on patient response
- Collaborate with other health care professionals, attend care conferences, and coordinate with referring providers to review patient status and needs
- Arrange and verify appropriate durable medical equipment and discharge planning; coordinate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions
- Document encounter findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses in the patient record per policy; maintain patient confidentiality
- Develop, implement, and educate patients and families on home exercise programs; provide clear instructions and verify understanding through return demonstration
- Facilitate self-care and independence, and promote patient-family engagement in the therapy process
- Contribute to clinic operations as needed, including equipment maintenance, space cleanliness, and participation in team communications and meetings

Requirements
- Alaska Physical Therapist license (active at time of submission)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Flu vaccination required
- Valid driver’s license
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or graduate from an APTA-approved program at master’s or bachelor’s level with 2 years’ CE demonstrating knowledge base typically taught in a Doctorate program
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings; start date contingent on fingerprint processing (FI cards submitted promptly to avoid delays)
