Territory Sales Manager

Your Role in Our Success At PFERD, as the Territory Sales Manager (Michigan), you will promote PFERD products in the region specified. This position will have direct sales responsibility for managing, supporting, and executing the sales, strategies, and objectives for all of the major distribution accounts/channels throughout the assigned territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Effectively work with Distributor Sales Management, along with the entire distribution sales team in order to drive key end-user account strategies, tactics, and value-added product solutions. Develop and maintain relationships with key distributor principles and high-volume, influential end-user accounts. Heavy and intense focus on value-added selling at the end-user level in order to achieve the annual required sales and gross profit objectives and goals. Participate and assist the Regional Sales Manager with the development of an annual sales and marketing plan identifying major end-user opportunities, targets, and key objectives. Develop and support the respective distributor sales team through coaching, training, and mentoring of the value-added selling process on a consistent and ongoing basis. Assist and support the Regional Sales Manager on other special projects as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or the equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of distributor and field sales experience required. Must have a proven track record of successfully leading and executing a value-added sales approach. Possessing an understanding of the industrial, construction, and welding distribution sales industry would be a plus. Knowledge and understanding of the metal fabrication, metalworking, and industrial manufacturing marketplace would also be beneficial. Must possess excellent time and territory management skills in order to effectively manage the sales process and achieve the required sales objectives. Ability to travel cost-effectively within the geographical territory, which could include up to 75% overnight travel. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must present themselves with confidence and professionalism. Valid U. S. Driver’s License Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
