We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial and operational transactions for a contract assignment in Roscoe, Illinois. This Contract position will focus on purchase order entry, shipping and receiving documentation, and invoice processing while helping maintain accurate records across accounting activities. The ideal candidate brings prior JobBoss experience and can contribute in a fast-paced environment with strong accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities:
• Enter and maintain purchase orders in JobBoss with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by recording transactions and verifying documentation against internal records.
• Prepare and process customer and vendor invoices while ensuring information is complete and properly coded.
• Assist with accounts payable tasks, including reviewing bills and entering payment-related data as needed.
• Provide support for accounts receivable activities such as tracking incoming payments and updating account records.
• Reconcile financial information by comparing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Help organize accounting files and transaction records to support efficient reporting and audit readiness.• Previous experience in an accounting support or accounting assistant role.
• Hands-on experience using JobBoss is required.
• Familiarity with invoice coding, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and basic bank reconciliation practices is preferred.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail in a transactional environment.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative and accounting tasks while meeting deadlines.
