Associate - Credit Risk Analytics

Role Description The Associate will support credit portfolio analytics and governance reporting for the Americas Division, contributing to materials for internal risk committees and regulators, transforming complex portfolio data into clear, actionable insights for senior management. The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $131,000.00. Portfolio Analytics & Reporting Analyze credit portfolios to identify trends, sector and product concentrations, rating migrations, and emerging risks. Support recurring and ad‑hoc materials for risk stakeholders, including portfolio decks, sector reviews, and regulatory presentations. Maintain standardized reporting packs on criticized assets, watchlists, non‑pass originations, and other key risk metrics. Incorporate stress‑testing, risk appetite, and rating migration results into portfolio commentary. Data, Infrastructure & Controls Support ownership of the end‑to‑end credit risk reporting data pipeline, including data source, transformation, validation, and aggregation across multiple internal systems. Lead development of credit risk dashboards covering exposure, concentrations, risk ratings, criticized assets, limits, and portfolio trends. Ensure dashboards are aligned with senior management and committee requirements, balancing analytical depth with clarity and usability. Partner with Data and Model Development teams to enhance credit risk databases, improve data controls, and ensure consistency of definitions and calculations across portfolios. Establish and maintain documentation for data lineage, assumptions, and calculation methodologies to support governance and regulatory reviews. Governance, Regulatory & Process Support Support credit risk governance processes, including committee materials, approvals, and action‑item tracking. Recommend improvements to increase efficiency, transparency, and consistency of portfolio reporting. Qualifications and Skills Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services in credit risk, credit portfolio management, or risk/reporting roles. Solid understanding of credit risk concepts, including internal ratings, risk appetite, criticized assets, watchlists, and governance frameworks. Experience working with large data sets and portfolio‑level metrics. Advanced Excel skills (data manipulation, pivot tables, complex formulas) and familiarity with PowerPoint for executive‑ready presentations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analysis into concise messages. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related analytical field. Preferred Qualifications 3‑5 years of relevant experience in credit risk analytics, portfolio management, or risk reporting at a bank or large financial institution. Experience in a U.S. regulatory environment (Federal Reserve, OCC, or similar) or at a foreign banking organization. Experience using SQL or a programming language such as Python or R to query and analyze data. Familiarity with business intelligence or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Professional certifications or coursework in risk management, credit analysis, or data analytics (FRM, CFA, or similar) is a plus.
