Powertrain Test Technician Forest Lake, MN | Contract | $26-29/hr Konik is partnering with an engineering and manufacturing firm seeking a hands‑on Powertrain Test Technician to support the development and validation of advanced off‑road vehicle systems. This role combines mechanical teardown and rebuild work with testing, instrumentation, and data analysis in a fast‑paced product development environment. Powertrain Test Technician Responsibilities Perform detailed teardown, inspection, and documentation of engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components Build, assemble, and prepare powertrain systems for testing Install sensors, wiring, and data acquisition equipment on engines and vehicle systems to support testing Collect, validate, and analyze test data to support engineering decisions Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during testing Develop, document, and improve test procedures and processes Powertrain Test Technician Qualifications 3+ years of experience with small engines, poertrain systems, or powersports equipment, or relevant technical degree Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience in teardown, assembly, and diagnostics Solid understanding of internal combustion engines, CVTs, and drivetrain systems Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and schematic reading Familiarity with data acquisition systems or test instrumentation preferred Valid driver’s license required Experience with fabrication, machining, or welding is beneficial Benefits Health & dental insurance Paid holidays MN Earned Sick & Safe Time Weekly paychecks Konik is an equal opportunity employer.
