Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant

Kistler Law Firm, APC is seeking a Pre‑Litigation Legal Assistant for our Palmdale office. This position supports the firm’s pre‑litigation department and helps guide clients through their personal injury claims before a lawsuit is filed. The right candidate will be organized, detail‑oriented, professional, coachable, and comfortable communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, body shops, and other parties involved in a claim. Prior personal injury or law office experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to learn personal injury case management. Responsibilities Communicating with clients Helping clients understand the status of their case and next steps Assisting with property damage issues, including vehicle repairs, rental vehicles, body shop coordination, total loss issues, and insurance communications Managing and organizing client files in the firm’s electronic case management system Reviewing and analyzing case information, medical records, and claim documents Drafting legal correspondence under attorney supervision Assisting with demand letters to insurance companies under attorney supervision Communicating professionally with insurance adjusters, medical providers, body shops, and other case‑related contacts Helping prepare cases for settlement discussions and claim negotiation under attorney supervision Performing other tasks related to the pre‑litigation department as assigned Ideal candidate Organized and detail‑oriented Professional and calm when communicating with clients and adjusters Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to follow procedures and meet deadlines Able to manage multiple tasks and cases at the same time Comfortable working with documents, records, and case information Empathetic and patient with clients Coachable and willing to learn Reliable, punctual, and responsible Experience Prior law office, personal injury, insurance, medical office, customer service, administrative, or claims‑related experience is helpful, but not required.
