Overview The Food & B (F&B) Senior Supervisor manages operations of multiple F&B locations throughout Lake Compounce, overseeing hosts, food safety, guest service, financial monitoring, quality control, scheduling, training, and day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the F&B team and other assigned departments. Lead by example and represent Lake Compounce’s core values. Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts. Become knowledgeable of all assigned F&B positions and backfill when needed. Train, coach, and discipline employees, ensuring continuous performance improvement. Ensure compliance with meal and break requirements under Connecticut law. Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities. Welcome guests with a positive attitude; perform opening and closing procedures. Practice, teach, and enforce food safety guidelines from company policy and local regulations. Maintain alcohol safety practices when applicable. Resolve escalated guest concerns and criticisms calmly. Oversee quality controls and production of food items. Manage inventory, focusing on portion and waste controls. Interface with warehouse for product and supply needs. Interface with maintenance regarding equipment or plant needs. Complete any other duties assigned by leadership. Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent (preferred). 2–3 years of previous work experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting. 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in a food or restaurant environment. Previous amusement park, theme park, or water park experience is a plus. Must obtain Food Handler Safety Certification (ServSafe or similar) within 90 days if required. Fluency in English; Spanish or other bilingual skills are a plus. Requirements At least 18 years of age. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation to and from work. Compliance with all uniform policies. Safety‑oriented mindset with understanding of state and local food regulations. Exceptional customer‑service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally. Ability to speak directly with guests when F&B leadership is absent. Ability to handle high‑pressure situations and coordinate multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities. Previous experience with POS technology and PCI compliance is a plus. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday. Occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders. Withstand heat and humidity from food‑preparation equipment. Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more. Working Conditions Work at one or more food stall or restaurant locations throughout the park, both indoors and outdoors. Frequent interruptions and requests requiring reprioritization. Exposure to variable outdoor temperatures: high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice.
