Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a seasonal, 13-week contract in the NICU at a large healthcare facility. The role requires delivering specialized neonatal care in a fast-paced environment, supporting patient needs around the clock.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal nursing care to critically ill infants in the NICU.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to emergent situations, and manage medical equipment such as medfusion pumps, alaris, and GE monitors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress, treatments, and procedures accurately in electronic medical records.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, dress code, and unit policies, including navy scrubs and strict attire standards.
• Support unit operations through effective communication and maintaining a compassionate, friendly demeanor.
  Qualifications:
• Valid RN license and current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with neonatal medical equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts, including weekends, without on-call responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and outgoing personality.
• Experience in high-acuity neonatal environments preferred.
