Architect

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits. Who May Apply Open to everyone. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. (Format example: Employer name, position title, beginning and ending dates of employment, with summary of duties, etc.) Qualified Experience Requires a professional degree in architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture) from an accredited program. Requires senior‑level expertise in integrating complex architectural‑engineering disciplines into large‑scale military facilities, paired with a deep understanding of statutory restrictions regarding federal funding. Must possess a proven ability to negotiate, defend, and justify critical design‑to‑cost strategies and complex projects. Preferred Experience To possess and maintain a current, valid Professional Registration as an Architect in at least one of the 50 United States is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) Knowledge of NAF and APF funding rules for design and construction. Knowledge of the DoD's classification of Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE). Knowledge of the DoD's classification of Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment (FF&E). Ability to use AutoCAD software independently. Ability to use Revit software independently.
