Registered Nurse PACU

Job Summary:
Seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse for a temporary assignment in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, specialized environment with a focus on post-procedure recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and recovery status post-procedure.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with surgical and procedural teams to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and assistance.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year recent hospital PACU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EKG, pacemaker interrogator, and groin watch procedures.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Have experience with procedures such as cath lab ablations, TAVRs, cardioversions, and TEE.
• Be adaptable to a dynamic, team-oriented environment with a helpful attitude.
