SEO Manager

We are currently recruiting for an SEO Manager role to lead the development and execution of SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives, while managing client relationships on a day-to-day basis. The SEO Manager will work closely with the SEO Director and supervise assigned SEO Associates.

About the Role

• Develop, implement and manage integrated SEO and GEO programs for enterprise clients to improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery experiences.
• Build SEO workflows and project management processes to ensure timely completion of SEO deliverables.
• Analyze the search and AI answer landscape to identify quick wins and longer-term opportunities to improve organic rankings, traffic, conversions, brand visibility and recommendation across LLMs.
• Conduct technical site audits to address errors and identify improvements that benefit both SEO and AI discoverability, including crawlability, indexation, site performance, Core Web Vitals, structured data/schema, canonicalization and robots directives.
• Oversee on-site optimizations to ensure priority pages are optimized for search demand, consumer intent and answer-readiness, in line with search-engine best practices and emerging GEO principles.
• Leverage keyword, prompt and content-gap analysis to identify new content opportunities that can earn organic rankings, answer high-value consumer questions and strengthen brand representation in AI responses.
• Manage monthly and quarterly SEO/GEO reporting, translating performance data into insights and strategic recommendations across organic search, AI visibility, citations, brand narratives and competitive share of voice.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and technology partners, making SEO, GEO and AI-search topics approachable through clear written and verbal communication.
• Manage junior members of the SEO team to maximize their productivity, job satisfaction and professional growth.
• Develop case studies and POVs, and research emerging trends, technologies and platform changes across SEO, GEO and AI search to educate clients and internal teams.
• Leverage industry-standard and proprietary AI tools to automate routine SEO workflows, streamline analysis, and improve scalability of strategic insights.
• Use LLM visibility and tracking platforms such as Profound, Bluefish and Scrunch to monitor brand presence, competitive share of voice, citations, source patterns and AI narratives over time.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of tactical and strategic SEO experience in an in-house or agency environment, with hands-on exposure to GEO/AEO, AI search or LLM visibility work.
• Possess a BS/BA in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Statistics or MIS/related technical degree.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with leading web analytics, SEO and AI/LLM visibility platforms; familiarity with tools such as Profound, Bluefish and Scrunch is strongly preferred.
• Experience performing SEO and GEO audits and analyses using multiple data sources, and translating findings into clear, prioritized recommendations.
• Technical experience with XML sitemaps, Robots.txt, site migrations and URL re-directs.
• Proven experience using AI-powered SEO tools, LLM platforms or custom automation to drive efficiency and scale across search, content and analysis workflows.
• Strong understanding of emerging AI search experiences and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices, including prompt behavior, answer-ready content, technical accessibility, citations/source influence and measurement of brand presence across leading LLMs.
• Ability to interpret LLM tracking data and qualitative AI narratives, identify meaningful patterns and communicate implications to senior clients in clear, non-technical language.
• Strong understanding of how SEO and GEO connect with content, paid media, PR/Comms, social, analytics and technology teams to build consistent brand signals across the broader AI ecosystem.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
