We are seeking a skilled Roofing & Siding Repair Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, delivers exceptional customer experiences, and wants to grow with a PE-backed platform committed to building the best roofing company in the region.

In this role, you will diagnose and repair roofing and siding systems across residential and light commercial properties in the greater Detroit metro area. You will work directly with homeowners and property managers, and your ability to identify scope, communicate findings clearly, and close additional work opportunities will be rewarded through our commission structure.

Compensation Summary

• Base Hourly Rate: $24.00–$27.00/hr (DOE)
• Commission: Paid on upsells, add-on scopes, and self-generated leads
• Pay Frequency: Weekly — every Friday
• FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt (overtime eligible)
• Estimated Annual Base: $49,920–$56,160 (2,080 hours)
• Total Compensation Potential: Exceeds $65,000+ with commission

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations

• Perform residential and light commercial roofing repairs including shingle replacement, flashing, valleys, ridge caps, pipe boots, and leak diagnostics.
• Perform siding repairs including panel replacement, trim work, caulking, and moisture barrier assessment.
• Conduct thorough property inspections and document findings with photos and written scope.
• Communicate findings clearly to homeowners and recommend repair vs. replacement options.
• Complete work orders accurately in ServiceTitan and/or CRM, including materials used, labor hours, and job status.

Sales & Customer Experience

• Identify and present upsell opportunities (gutters, ventilation, additional repairs) while on-site.
• Build rapport with customers that drives referrals and positive reviews.
• Meet or exceed individual conversion targets for presented add-on work.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all OSHA safety standards including fall protection, ladder safety, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and job site at all times.
• Report safety hazards, incidents, or near-misses immediately to your supervisor.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on roofing and/or siding repair experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete jobs with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
• Comfort working at heights and in variable weather conditions.
• Basic smartphone proficiency for job management software (ServiceTitan).

Preferred

• Experience with GAF, Owens Corning, or CertainTeed shingle systems.
• Certifications: GAF Certified Installer, OSHA 10/30.
• Prior experience in a service-sales hybrid or commission-based field role.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
